Two gold medals, a bronze, and a Special Award for Co Monaghan groups in National Tidy Towns

Congratulations to Glaslough and Carrickmacross, who both won Gold medals in this year’s National Tidy Towns competition, which was announced yesterday. Monaghan town continued their impressive progress, winning a bronze medal for the first time, and coming Highly Commended in the Notice Nature special prize category.

In the county competition, Glaslough clung on to the county award, only one point ahead of Carrickmacross, who were Highly Commended. Monaghan town were commended in the county competition, with Greenan’s Cross winning the Endeavour award for the biggest improvement in marks over a single year.
