Hedgerow safari Sunday 25th Sept 2016 in Castleblayney

This Sunday, hedgerow enthusiast, John McKeon, will take us on a guided walk of some hedgerows around Castleblayney, pointing out native tree varieties. He will show us how to collect seeds from native fruit and nut trees, so that we can naturally preserve our biodiversity, and maybe plant a tree at home, without having to rely on big seed companies! It should be an interesting and a fruitful (pardon the pun!) afternoon. The meeting point will be off Lakeview / Keady Road at Irwin’s Tiles / Coogan’s hardware at 2:50. Please do join us, and wear weather – proof clothing.

The event is being organised by Transition Monaghan
